Accommodation DetailsDuring your trip you will spend 10 nights in shared budget style accommodations. These will be pre booked throughout your journey and will offer a comfortable night’s stay after your exciting days out. And for 3 of the nights you will be staying in cabin accommodation on board the cruise or sleep under the stars on the deck.
Day 1Sunday Istanbul to Gallipoli
Welcome to Istanbul! You will meet at the Sultan Hostel in Istanbul for an early morning departure heading west along the coast of the Sea of Marmara. This afternoon, you can experience the WW1 battlefields of Gallipoli on an optional tour or spend the afternoon exploring the nearby town of Canakkale. You will have an overnight stay in Canakkale.
Day 2Monday Gallipoli to Kusadasi via Troy & Pergamum
This morning, you head south along the Aegean Coast, stopping at the ancient city of Troy for a guided one hour tour. You also have the opportunity to tour the magnificent antique site of Pergamum before heading to the resort town of Kusadasi. You will have an overnight stay in Kusadasi.
Absorb yourself in history this morning with an optional tour of one of the seven ancient wonders of the world, the site of the Temple of Artemis and the best-preserved ancient city in Turkey, Ephesus or spend the day relaxing on an Aegean Beach. You will have an overnight stay in Kusadasi.
Today, you will drive through Pamukkale where you can choose to do a tour to Pamukkale, paddle in the natural calcium formations, known as travertines, and visit the ancient spa town of Hierapolis before heading to Turkish Riviera - Bodrum. You will have an overnight stay in Bodrum.
Today is a day for choices. You can choose to do an optional tour of Dalyan, experience the therapeutic properties of the mud and thermal baths or maybe you would prefer to visit Bodrum castle and Antique Theater of Halicarnassus. You will have an overnight stay in Bodrum.
Day 6Friday Bodrum to Fethiye via Marmaris
Today we drive towards the picturesque resort town of Fethiye. On the way we will have the chance to visit another resort town Marmaris. Overnight Fethiye (B)
Today you will board your traditional handmade Gulet and cruise your way through to Day 10 in Olympos. Overnight Cruise.
Get into the optional water sports, skiing, wakeboarding, and snorkelling or just go for a refreshing swim. Overnight Cruise.
More of the stunning Mediterranean coastline today as we head east with plenty of sun bathing and swimming to be had. Tonight, we anchor in a gorgeous bay.
After lunch, we disembark before our transfer to Olympos, home of the world famous tree houses. You will have an overnight stay in Olympos.
Day 11Wednesday Olympos to Cappadocia
Early morning we head out to follow an ancient silk trade route across the Anatolian Plain, on the way you will have the opportunity to visit the Mevlana Museum in Konya and then the Sultanhani Caravansary just as the ancient traders did. Overnight Cappadocia (B)
Day 12Thursday Cappadocia
This morning you have the option of taking a hot-air balloon ride in a region famed for being one of the best places in the world for ballooning. You will be back in plenty of time for the optional tour to check out the carved cave villages, underground cities and spectacular fairy chimney formations. Overnight Cappadocia (B)
Day 13Friday Cappadocia
Today you are free to explore the wonders of Cappadocia at your own pace. Tonight, do not miss the optional Turkish Folklore evening, which includes nearly 3 hrs of entertainment and all the food and drink you can handle! Overnight Cappadocia (B)
Day 14Saturday Cappadocia to Istanbul via Ankara
Early morning start today as we head back to Istanbul, via Ankara, the nation’s Capital. You will have time to visit the mausoleum of the famed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and discover what happened to the Turkish nation after the ANZAC`s left. Upon arrival at the Sultan Hostel your tour concludes and sadly it is time to say good bye to new friends. (B)
